400s, 10km, 18km

Thrusday: 12x400 @ 1:45 or so. A few were a bit faster, and a few slower. I didn't want to push too hard because it's been a touh week, but at that pace, they felt strong and consistent.

Friday: 6miles, 9:05, 9:03, 8:34, 8:28, 8:10, 7:58. In light of my discovery that I've been running too slow and too easy, I wanted to prove to myself that i can still run a medium distance at a fair tempo. Roberto wanted to run with us, which was good because he took me at that nice 9min pace right off the bat. I've been starting so slow, and then not being able to pick up the tempo. This time i felt great. My last mile under 8min was amazing. Back to my old self!!

Sunday: 18km (i think). We are in mazatlan for some concerts, so at 6am this morning we met to run on the malecon. What a treat to have a change of scenery!!! the way "out" wad 44min, and back was 40, and then i did the run from freeman to the base of the lighthouse and back to add to the total distance. The father and daughter running partners we met were very friendly, and said that it was 19km, but i have a hunch tht it was more like 18. Anyway, it felt great and I am happy. The hills at the end were quite a challenge, though, since we haven't done any hills in culiacan. my calves are sore but i will recover, i'm sure.

this is the view from my hotel room :) what a life!
